In the resort town of Phuket, there have been reports of an incident in which a tour host stabbed a Chinese tourist over his demand for a refund of a previously paid tour advance of 5,000 baht. The woman was charged with carrying a weapon in a public place and also with assault. In a video filmed by the victim, she is seen approaching the victim and then cutting his left arm with a jackknife.
The local police condemned the act and signaled that they would take appropriate action, while stressing that Phuket receives many tourists and they should be hospitable to them.
