Foreigners evacuated safely after boat crash in Ao Phang Nga National Park

Five foreigners, a guide and a skipper were rescued after their Hua Thong longtail capsized in Ao Phang Nga National Park on Monday afternoon.

According to the Thai Maritime Enforcement Center, the boat was heading for Panyi Island at 2:00 pm when the skipper fell overboard and capsized the boat behind him.

Two of the tourists were from Ireland, one from the Philippines and one from Switzerland. All seven were rescued by nearby boats and taken to the Takua Thung area in Phang Nga province, police officials said.

According to the doctors, no one was hurt, as all passengers were wearing life jackets. The police also added that they would conduct further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
