Jellyfish are increasingly attacking tourists, the number of victims is growing

Authorities in Phuket province in Thailand have warned tourists about the increased risk of jellyfish attacks. In order to raise awareness among foreign visitors, information boards have been set up on the beaches in four languages: Russian, English, Chinese and Thai. The boards indicate the first aid actions after contact with poisonous sea creatures.

More than 20 popular tourist beaches around Phuket have been equipped with such stands, and lifeguards on duty have been provided with medicines and vinegar to help the victims. The danger of jellyfish attacks remains in the winter season, meetings with them occur regularly, so tourists need to take precautions and seek help from rescuers if necessary.
