A re-election at Polling Station No. 10 in Nakhon Pathom Province No. 1 Constituency will take place on Sunday, May 21, after voting on May 14 was interrupted due to bad weather, the Electoral Commission (EC) announced on Thursday.
The CV announced the cancellation of the vote at 4:45 pm on May 14 after severe thunderstorms and gusty winds knocked down the polling station tents located at the administrative office of Bang Caem District in Muang County. Some voters were reportedly unable to cast their ballots when voting was interrupted.
VC Chairman Ittiporn Boonprakong said there were 943 registered voters at the polling station, some of whom had already voted last Sunday morning.
He added that the EC Regional Office in Nakhon Pathom was advised to invite all voters to re-vote in the same polling station on May 21 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Of Nakhon Pathom's six constituencies, Chart Thai Pattana party candidates won three (1st, 3rd and 5th) in the May 14 general election, while Move Forward won 4th and 5th constituencies and United Thai Nation won the Constituency No. 2.
