Thai authorities have introduced a program of exclusive benefits for foreign visitors, including free visits to nature reserves and solid discounts on entertainment.
Favorable stay for foreigners
The country's state-run Tourism Authority has teamed up with telecom giant True Corporation to offer the "Unforgettable Perks in Thailand" initiative. It involves zero entrance fees to national parks and significant price reductions on tours, wellness treatments and shopping. This is done to interest visitors to explore different corners of the kingdom and get the most out of the experience.
Free visits to nature reserves
Thanks to a partnership between tourism officials and the Department of Protected Areas, foreigners will be able to enter Thailand's national parks for free between Dec. 1, 2023, and Feb. 29, 2024.
On Dec. 1, a full list of participating reserves will be published on the department's website.
"We want to inspire visitors from abroad to discover the beauty of our homeland and have a vivid experience in every corner of the kingdom," Tourism Minister Thapani Kiathphaibul emphasized.
Other bonuses for tourists
Special privileges are active now and will be valid until February 29, 2024. The resource https://expatprivileges.com lists special offers from hotels, catering establishments, spas, entertainment venues and stores. The portal is available in English and Chinese.

True Corporation will inform millions of its subscribers around the world about the promotion. In addition, inbound foreign customers of this operator will receive a welcome SMS at airports in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai and other cities. By activating a tourist SIM card, they will also be able to count on a special status of a foreign guest.
Thailand has been a favorite destination for expats, freelancers and travelers from around the world for years. At last count, there are now about 2.15 million foreigners here. The vast majority of them use True Corporation's services. The new privileges are designed to make their stay in the Land of Smiles even more comfortable.
