An awkward question at the Miss Grand Thailand pageant caused a storm of emotions

In the final round of the Miss Grand Thailand beauty pageant, contestants were asked an unusual question - who would they choose as the next Prime Minister of Thailand: General Prayut Chan-ochu or Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan.

The girls' responses caused bewilderment and criticism on social media, as most of them indirectly hinted at the age of Prawit Wongsuwan, which many considered disrespectful.

However, the winner was Taviporn "Aum" Pingchamrat from Chumphon Province, who won the top prize of 1.2 million baht, a golden crown, an apartment key and other valuable gifts. She will represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant in Vietnam this year.

However, many viewers expressed their disappointment that Chayatanusa "Cheraim" Saradatta from Lamphun province did not qualify for the final.

There was also criticism towards the organizers of the competition, due to the fact that the question was not very relevant and did not relate to the beauty and talents of the participants.

Despite all the criticism, such questions in beauty pageants are nothing new. They are often given to test the intelligence and outlook of the participants. However, in this case, the question provoked a strong reaction due to its irrelevance and political overtones.
