In Thailand, national entertainment, recreation and leisure can be officially recognized

Thailand is famous for its diversity and identity, which attract adventurers from all over the world. Therefore, it is not surprising that seven intangible cultural heritage sites, such as crafts, literature, sports, traditions and languages, will be nominated for the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List.

Recently, in 2021, Tom Yam Kung soup was nominated for consideration in the list of intangible cultural heritage. This dish is not a specific recipe, but rather a family of spicy and sour soups.

In addition, at the end of 2019, traditional Thai massage was included in the UNESCO Representative Cultural Heritage List, and the royal new year Songkran was included in the same list two years later, in 2021.
Likewise, Muay Thai (Thai boxing), masked Khon dance dramas, and Nora dance drama are all awaiting evaluation by UNESCO later this year for possible listing. Finally, Phi Ta Khon Spirit Festival, Mango Sticky Rice will also be presented to UNESCO for evaluation at the end of 2023.
