The joyful atmosphere of the general celebration of Songkran has returned to Thailand again

After three years of canceling or restricting events due to the Covid-19 crisis, full-blown Songkran celebrations are expected to take place across Thailand this year. The long Songkran holiday break starts on April 13 and ends on April 17, and many activities have been planned to celebrate the Thai New Year in Bangkok and other major cities including Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen and Phuket.

Events range from cultural shows and religious ceremonies to music events and international festivals. Tourists from all over the world are expected to join millions of Thais in the largest water fight and attend cultural and entertainment events.

The "Water Bomb Bangkok 2023" event is scheduled for April 13-14 at the Thunder Dome in Nonthaburi province with a concert by South Korean bands. The performance will be in the style of "water bombs"

As the world begins to recover from the pandemic, the return of the Songkran celebration gives Thailand an opportunity to showcase its rich culture and attract tourists to the country. However, it is important for organizers and participants to prioritize safety and follow medical advice on protection to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
