On Friday, the City Hall hosted a ceremony to appoint 33 new public relations ambassadors, whose task will be to ensure the effectiveness of communication in the agency.
The event was attended by the Governor of Bangkok, Chatchart Sittipunt, who presided over the ceremony. He emphasized the importance of communication and noted that this is a process that requires mutual understanding from both parties. The Governor noted that the new public relations team should first of all make sure that the information they provide is correct and reliable, and any inaccuracies should be corrected immediately.
"There are three key factors in communication: the right time, the right channel and accuracy," he said. Congratulating the new ambassadors, he expressed his hope that they would also help improve the communication skills of other Thai embassy staff. "We will work together to provide people with accurate information," he added.
Chatchart noted that the public relations department is functioning well, but there is room for improvement. The 33 new ambassadors were selected on the administration's 50th anniversary and represent a variety of professions, including teachers, doctors, nurses, clerks, firefighters, mechanics, accountants and administrators. Their task will be to publish reports on their work and achievements of the Thai Embassy.
