Due to the upcoming elections in Thailand, the city of Bangkok has decided to temporarily suspend some services for migrants.
Registration, renewal of records and issuance of identification cards for workers from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam will be suspended.
This decision was made to enable all district offices to cope with the increased workload during the pre-election period. The restrictions will remain in effect until May 15, after which all services will resume as usual.
Elections will be held on May 14, and residents of Bangkok and 76 other provinces will be able to vote for parliamentary candidates in their constituency and party list.
Voting will last from 8:00 to 17:00.
