2023 will be a pivotal year for Muay Thai as the martial art moves onto the global stage and gains recognition from international organizations. One of the highlights will be the 2023 IFMA Senior World Championships, which will take place May 4-12 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Over 100 countries including Australia, Austria, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, the UK, the US and Vietnam will be attending this major event. The winner of the IFMA World Championship will have the opportunity to participate in the 2023 World Combat Games in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
The conference was attended not only by professional athletes, but also by representatives of international sports organizations. An academic conference was also held, at which issues in the field of sports science, doping control and sports law were discussed. Among the organizations represented at the conference were the International Olympic Committee, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the Global Association of International Sports Federations, UNESCO and the Alliance of Independent Recognized Members of Sports Organizations.
Simultaneously with the IFMA World Championships, a sporting goods fair pavilion will be organized in the Central World shopping center. As part of the event, demonstrations, master classes and seminars on Muay Thai will be held, which will be available to everyone.
