Thailand will accept tourists without queues

With the surge in the number of tourists visiting Thailand, Transportation Minister Saxayam Chidchob stressed the need to hire more staff and streamline border control at various airports in the country.

The main goal is to make sure that people do not have to wait long on arrival and when collecting luggage. In particular, at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, passport control should take no more than 15 minutes. This should be possible thanks to new training programs and additional staff that can serve up to 3,000 passengers in just 20 minutes. In addition, the waiting time for baggage collection should not exceed 30 minutes.

It is expected that the same measures will be introduced in other popular resorts by December this year. Russian airlines have recently begun offering direct flights from Moscow and other regions of Russia to several airports in Thailand, which has made this destination increasingly popular among holidaymakers due to travel restrictions to other countries.
