Wild tiger in Thailand may pose a danger to tourists

Visitors to Thailand are warned not to forget a wild tiger that has been sighted at the Srinagarind Dam in Ta Kradan district, Kanchanaburi province.

The head of the district, Kittishit Thummas, said that four CCTV cameras captured footage of a huge cat at 2 am, and it is assumed that it came from the Salak Phra reserve.

Residents and travelers are warned not to enter the nearby forest and be aware of their surroundings in case they encounter this tiger. The Panther Corporation, a big cat conservation organization, examined security footage to identify the species, but could not find a match in their database and cataloged it as SLT0002M.
An analysis of video footage from camera traps filmed near Ban Thung Na and Salakpra Wildlife Sanctuary showed that it was most likely the same animal seen in both locations.

Анализ видеозаписей с камер-ловушек, снятых вблизи Бан Тхунг На и в заповеднике дикой природы Салакпра, показал, что, скорее всего, это было одно и то же животное, замеченное в обоих местах.

The reserve occupies 350 square kilometers of mountains and jungle, in which numerous species of animals are protected.
