KFC donates 1 million baht to treat children with congenital heart defects in Thailand

KFC continues its charitable activities aimed at supporting society. During the "Fulfilling Meals to Fulfilling Hearts for Kids" campaign from January 5 to February 28, 2022, customers of all KFC restaurants across the country were able to participate in donations for the treatment of babies with congenital heart defects. The collected funds of 1 million baht were donated to the Children's Hospital Foundation to support the "One Heart to New Life" campaign, which helps babies with critical congenital heart defects receive the necessary treatment and surgery.

Children's Fund Manager Pavit Punyarit and Director of the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health Dr. Akaratan Jitnuyanont accepted a donation from Senior Vice President of QSR & Western Cuisine, KFC, Piyapong Chitchumnong. He noted that in Thailand, 8 out of 1,000 newborns have congenital heart defects, and 25% of them need critical care. He also stressed that specialized surgeries and equipment are very expensive and many families cannot afford the cost of treatment. Through the "Fulfilling Meals to Fulfilling Hearts for Kids" campaign, KFC and its customers have been able to save the lives of several babies and make life easier for their families.

The Medical Director of the Children's Hospital expressed his gratitude to KFC for their support and assistance in the treatment of children with congenital heart defects, who will now be able to receive the necessary medical care and return to a healthy life.
