Thailand continues to actively work to attract foreign investment, and this time the country has turned its eyes to South Korea. According to the official statement, the Investment Promotion Authority (BOI), the Industrial Parks Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and large private companies in Thailand will hold a road show in Seoul from May 15 to 18 to attract South Korean investors to Thailand.
The event will be attended by oil and gas giants such as PTT, as well as the Charoen Pokphand Group conglomerate, said BOI Secretary General Narit Terdsathirasak. The main purpose of the event is to present measures to stimulate investment and the willingness of Thailand's industrial parks to support South Korean investors. At least 180 invited guests are expected to attend the event.
Thai agencies are planning meetings with more than 40 leading South Korean companies, as well as representatives of the Korea Electric Vehicle Industry Association.
Attracting investment from South Korea is essential as the country is a leader in technology and innovation such as electric vehicles, semiconductors and biotechnology. According to Narita, Thailand should attract investment from South Korea to develop the new economy.
