Geographical position
Phuket Province is the largest island in Thailand, occupying the southern part of the country. It is washed by the Andaman Sea of the Indian Ocean. The area of the island is 540 km2, and the length is 50 km from north to south and 21 km from west to east.
Phuket is connected to Thailand by three bridges. From Bangkok it is separated by 863 km by road.
From Phuket, you can also drive to the neighboring city of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The distance between the two cities is 980 km.
In addition, other wonderful Thai resorts are available to Phuket visitors: for example, Krabi and Phang Nga. You can also get to them by car in a few hours.
