Koh Lipe island
Even in the most popular tourist destinations, such as Thailand, you can find a relatively unspoiled and peaceful place. One of them is the island of Koh Lipe (in Latin - Koh Lipe, or Ko Lipe, sometimes simply called Lipe) in the Andaman Sea.
It is located at the southernmost point of the state, and in good weather the islands of neighboring Malaysia are visible from there (30 kilometers to the Langkawi archipelago). A small island can be crossed on foot in less than an hour - from coast to coast is only 3 kilometers.
The population is about 800 people, and their main occupation is fishing, trade and work in the developing tourism sector. By the way, the locals are from the same Malaysian tribe, and they are often called "sea gypsies."
