Chakoklum is a fishing village. But do not rush to think badly about her - she is very well-groomed and neat. Near the shore there are boats operating as a water taxi.

Chakoklum Bay is one of the largest beaches on Koh Phangan. In the central part there is a pier and boats, and on the left is Malibu beach.

It is best to swim slightly to the right of the pier - there is a clean bottom and clear water. At low tide, a rocky bottom comes out of the water on the right side of the beach, so it becomes not very convenient. Boats do not interfere with swimming - they are quite silent and do not run constantly.

Chakoklum is one of those beaches where the tides have little or no effect on the depth - you can safely swim there at any time. There are several hotels on the beach, but there are no sun loungers at all. You can lie on the rocks or bring a towel. The sand is quite soft and white. The advantages of the beach include shops - despite the low population, there are 7-eleven, cafes, and fruit shops nearby.
