Quite a large and crowded beach, considered the main and therefore the most popular. The point is also that boats from the mainland come to Pattaya Beach and there is an immigration control point for arrivals from Malaysia, so the beach is always crowded and noisy. The length along the coastline is about 4 km. The beach is separated from the city by a highway and a pedestrian zone - a promenade. Pattaya Beach adjoins the main pedestrian street - Walking Street, which houses all the basic infrastructure for guests of the island - travel agencies, currency exchange, souvenir shops and more. The section of the beach that Walking overlooks was reconstructed and ennobled in 2017 - now there is a wooden bridge on stilts and an observation deck from which you can admire the bay or take photos against the backdrop of clear water.
The sand on the beach is very fine and snow-white, at night the territory is carefully cleaned using special equipment, but still the place is considered not too clean. There are no sun loungers, but for 50 -100 baht you can rent a sun lounger under an umbrella. There is Internet access - free Wi-Fi. It should be noted that the law of Thailand on the protection of tobacco provides fines for smoking on the beach in the amount of 2000 baht.
The beach is perfect for those who want to be in the center of events and who are not embarrassed by the noise of plying boats, the hubbub of the crowd and the constant offers of services and goods.
