Mai Khao Beach is widely known for planes flying almost over the heads of vacationers. It owes this to its proximity to Phuket Airport. Spectacularly flying steel birds delight not only children, but also adults. This is a truly impressive sight, attracting thousands of tourists every year.
Mai Khao stretches along the sea for about 10 km. Thanks to the trees growing along the coastline, a shadow is created that disappears in the afternoon. The sea is clear, but quite deep and often choppy, so care must be taken not to leave children unsupervised.
