Access by public transport will not work. You'll have to order a taxi. For a trip to the place you will pay 500-600 baht. There is another option - a tour. It will cost you 700-1000 baht.
You need to drive 20 km from the city center to the place. This is a huge Buddha image on gold plates. Next to it are pavilions where you can meditate, a temple and a park.
Here you can also ride elephants. Thais offer a walk for 400 baht. If desired, the elephant can be fed. They sell bananas nearby. One bundle will cost about 60-70 baht.
