It was founded in 1373. This is one of the main monasteries in the city. Various sacred relics of the Buddha are kept here. According to the legend, this is only half of the "legacy". The second part was delivered to another temple.
The central chedi was made in the shape of a bell. This building is covered in gold. It rises above the other memorial chedis. Behind the monastery rises Mount Doi Suthep.
In the main sanctuary, you can see the statue of Buddha. It is really very huge, almost to the ceiling. This attraction is worth seeing! You can also stroll through the garden and enjoy the beautiful views. Don't forget to charge your phone well to take pictures of local sights.
