This is another oldest temple in the city. Construction began thanks to the idea of the founder of Chiang Mai. The temple was built around 1296. During all this time, the building has undergone several changes. For example, in 1581, an engraving was made on one of the stone slabs inside. It also had the first mention of the city of Chiang Mai.
In the main shrine, you can see beautiful images of the Buddha. They were created in Lanna. In the small hall you can see the image of Buddha Phra Sila. Archaeologists believe that this painting is about a thousand years old. There is also an image of the Crystal Buddha, which was created for King Lopburi.
